Mold Technician - 12 hr rotating night schedule

Location Phillips Medical - Menomonie, WI
Responsibilities
This position is a 12-hr rotating night shift (5 p.m.-5 a.m.) that includes working every other weekend.
Set up, start up, and change over production jobs consistent with process control capabilities and quoted standards
Use proper process procedure documentation and databases for performing routine set up functions and troubleshooting work
Evaluate molding processes in order to update techniques and improve quality, safety and productivity efficiencies
Work with production group to meet production demands
Contribute to continuous process improvement
Perform other duties as assigned to meet the objectives of the facility
Keep work area clean
Report incidents and injuries to team leader/manager immediately
Recognize close-call incidents and safety hazards and take action to eliminate them
Use equipment properly and follow the safety features/operating procedures
Wear applicable personal protective equipment
Follow applicable safety, quality, and environmental programs, policies, and procedures
Actively participate in continual improvement, corrective action, and customer satisfaction
Qualifications - Education & Experience
High School diploma or equivalent
Associates degree in Electro-Mechanical, or similar technical discipline, preferred
Qualifications - Skills & Competencies
Strong interpersonal, organizational, communication and problem solving skills
Strong skills in continuous improvement and process facilitation
Basic computer skills in word processing, spreadsheets, and databases
Basic reading, math and comprehension skills
Know and understand SPC
Working knowledge of measurement equipment
Basic blueprint reading skills
Knowledge of ISO / GDP / cGMP practices
Knowledge in Clean Room Practices
Licenses / Certifications
Accepted and/or active in Phillips Plastics Corporation Mold Tech Development Program. Must progress through program as described in MTDP requirements (for external candidates, an assessment for strong math skills, as well as other assessments, will be administered to be accepted into the program.

Ability to constantly lift 50 pounds from ground to chest height
