The Quality Assurance Coordinator is responsible for reviewing, tracking and reporting the accuracy of registrations, insurance verifications and authorizations.
Quality assurance is performed on all patient types and services.
The QA Coordinator is responsible for quantifying and reporting registration, insurance verification and authorization errors by employee to the Business Office Director and the supervisors of the registration areas.
The QA Coordinator also provides routine and employee specific training.
QA Coordinator also may be called up to perform additional duties as needed such as registration, customer service, insurance verification/authorization, etc.

High school graduate or equivalent.
Three (3) years of registration, benefit verification, and authorization process in a hospital or physician office setting requiring immediate contact with the public.
One (1) year experience in audit or quality assurance (internal/external).
