The Phlebotomist collects blood and checks quality of specimens from patients. Organizes, prepares, and distributes specimens for processing. Assists patient care delivery team by completing tasks and support duties under the direct supervision of the licensed professional. On the job training provided. Phlebotomy experience preferred. Basic knowledge of principles of phlebotomy care or the ability to demonstrate achievement of position specific competencies.
Graduation from high school or GED with phlebotomy experience preferred. Strong interpersonal skills required. Must be able to comprehend policies, patient records, physician's orders, procedures and guidelines. Requires CPR certification. 66 hours per pay period / 12 hour shifts / every other weekend and holiday.
