The position is responsible for creating and executing advanced financial modeling and analysis and preparing financial/economic evaluations of proposed projects and new businesses. In addition, subsidiary and consolidated SCANA financial information will be compiled and used to brief company management. This effort spans across all business units in SCANA.
BS or BA degree in a business related discipline and 2-5 years of work experience is required. Prior experience with financial modeling is preferred. A CPA, MBA or other postgraduate degree in business or finance is preferred but not essential.
The candidate must possess a solid knowledge of accounting and finance, including financial statement analysis. This position requires a thorough knowledge of and demonstrated proficiency with Microsoft Office computer applications including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook.
The successful candidate must be self-starting with leadership attributes and proven organizational and planning skills, possess excellent interpersonal and presentation skills, and demonstrate excellent written and verbal communications. Candidates must possess good judgment, sound decision making and problem solving abilities and be able to work individually or in a team environment.
