The Manager Receiving and Distribution is responsible for the receiving of equipment and materials, and final distribution of all pharmaceutical products within the NPI site. Management of the daily operations, safety, and compliance standards within the receiving and distribution departments are the primary focus and business deliverable.

Organization Structure:

The Manager Receiving and Distribution reports directly to Manager Supply Chain. Direct reports of the Manager Receiving and Distribution include the Receiving and Distribution team members, and they are part of the Tech Staffing team.


Responsibilities : Primary responsibilities of this role include the following:

  • Leadership
  • Manage the Receiving team members in order to effectively receive raw materials, equipment, and documents in an accurate and timely manner while maintaining compliance standards and executing necessary sampling procedures
  • Manage the Distribution team members in order to effectively deliver customer requirements based on accurate and timely shipments of equipment, documents, and/or finished product
  • Responsible for the daily operations, safety, and compliance standards of the receiving and distributions team members and departments.
  • Manage personnel disciplinary actions, PTO approvals, payroll, etc. for the receiving and distribution team members
  • Coach and train team members to efficiently deliver against all site and customer goals and objectives
  • Business Execution

  • Manage the daily, weekly, and monthly inventory cycle counts associated with appropriate inventory management guidelines that have been established for the site
  • Investigate necessary inventory discrepancies as identified for root cause analysis
  • Execute all appropriate quality investigations within the receiving and distribution areas and identify root cause analysis.

  • Qualifications:

    Qualifications :

  • College degree and/or equivalent experience in a Manager Line role
  • Demonstrates preferred management skills by having accountability for direct reports to include other salary team members and/or hourly technicians in prior work experience
  • GMP Decision Making Authority :

  • Responsible for providing clear and concise direction and communication of department priorities including sampling and shipping demands
  • Coordinates activities with the receiving and distribution departments based upon timely and appropriate vendor deliveries and product releases
