Provides support for Medical Staff departmental and committee meetings, performs ongoing monitoring of various credentialing elements, processes external affiliation verification requests, assists in data entry in credentialing database, prepares and distributes on-call schedules.
Associates Degree, in health care business or legal related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Minimum one-year previous administrative/clerical experience
Ability to type 40 words per minute
Must possess general clerical skills and be proficient in word processing and spreadsheet applications
Demonstrate superior verbal and written communication skills
Demonstrable knowledge of and ability to spell medical terminology
Demonstrable ability to positively interact with staff at all levels of the organization
Must be comfortable and proficient with all types of technology, including document imaging software
Must be detailed oriented and possess superior organizational skills
Bachelors Degree in health care, legal or business related field.
One year experience in supporting credentialing or medical staff services functions
