This position is responsible for assisting the Executive Chef with overseeing culinary functions for a cafe and catering venue. You will manage and lead a team of associates and oversee all safety and sanitation as it pertains to the account. Additionally, as part of the culinary team, you will be responsible for the following:

Responsibilities:
Assist the Executive Chef with managing cost controls and control expenditures for the account.

Assist the Executive Chef with planning and creating menus.

Execute production under the direction of the Executive Chef.

Serve as the department head in the absence of the Executive Chef.

Assist in menu development, inventory, ordering/purchasing, food cost controls, training, sanitation, and personnel management to include hiring, firing, counseling, coaching and developing.

Oversee all aspects of kitchen operations including: sanitation, production, managing associates

Produce and execute catering events.

Roll out new culinary programs in conjunction with WPC marketing and culinary team.

Qualifications:
Culinary degree preferred.

Three years of culinary supervisory experience.

High volume production and catering experience is essential.

Excellent knowledge of current food trends

Previous experience managing cost controls.

Servesafe Certified.

Desire to learn and grow with a top notch foodservice company.
