Provide management support to the College of Agricultural and Natural Resources (CASNR) Dean and supervision/management of office functions including programmatic and strategic management, financial management, budgeting, data management, server management and purchasing. Management of office staff. Coordinate CASNR grants program in partnership with IANR Finance & Personnel including both internal and external funding sources. Monitor, organize, report and coordinate University Foundation activities to include grant and faculty/student awards and designated fund uses. Coordinate the planning and organization of events, retreats, workshops, webinars, seminars, etc. Develop long-term plans, short-term plans and action steps for CASNR function and support services. Coordinate special projects and directly manage all highly confidential projects assigned by the Dean. Retrieve, analyze and generate data reports. Oversee CASNR data management, file server and administrative reporting functions. Plan, organize, and carry out activities with the CASNR Alumni Board of Directors and the CASNR Alumni Development Officer. Review correspondence and identify ways to build membership. Attend CASNR Alumni Board of Director meetings and events; provide reports and support for Board with meeting minutes and treasurer's report as well as items of interest from the College.
Bachelor's degree in Business or related field plus two years administrative experience required; equivalent education/experience considered. Experience with PC-based word processing, spreadsheet and presentation software skills required. Data management and analysis skills necessary.
Experience in an academic environment; working knowledge of budgeting, grants/contracts/awards and accounting practices; detail oriented and highly organized with the ability to multi-task and work independently preferred. Experience with PC-based database software programs and large integrated financial management systems
