The Advanced Concept and Technologies Group develops radar, communications, and systems technologies for use in future air defense systems. Of particular interest is the development of highly digitized phased-array radars and advanced signal processing techniques to enable the next generation of shipboard and airborne surveillance sensors. Major activities within the group include system concept development, modeling and simulation, signal processing algorithm design, prototype system design and development, and experimental field testing and data analysis.
Complete IT hardware/software support for 60+ users. Complete operating system installations and troubleshooting for Windows XP, Windows 7, Windows 2003/2008 Server, Linux RedHat, Suse, Ubuntu, and Gentoo. Configure and maintain network infrastructure within the LAN between Windows and UNIX/Linux as well as connections to the LAN from remote locations. Assist staff members in troubleshooting hardware, software and network problems. Maintain web site for Group 39 coops using Dreamweaver, PHP, and HTML. Assist in developing our growing network infrastructure. Work on existing projects and help develop new projects aimed at improving the group's computer requirements.
High School Graduate, currently enrolled in accredited Computer Science/ Computer Engineering program with a GPA of 3.0 or higher.
At least one year of directly related experience on PCs, workstations, and telecommunications equipment.
Must be knowledgeable of various operating systems.Windows XP, Windows 7 Windows 2003/2008 Server, Mac OS, LINUX (SuSe, RedHat, Ubuntu, etc.).
Familiarity with Microsoft application software, as well as other application software and should have a basic understanding of networking.
