The Valuation Transaction & Advisory Group (VTAG) Senior Associate will report directly to a Manager responsible for the execution of client engagements. Under the direction of the Manager, the VTAG Senior Associate will be responsible for the following:

Analyze public company and transaction data

Build financial models/Perform financial analyses

Perform economic and industry analysis

Write reports

Document VTAG work product

Analyze public company and transaction data

Perform queries of financial databases

Compile financial statistics on publicly traded companies and reported mergers and acquisitions

Merge the complied data into a format suitable for analysis

Build financial models/ Perform financial analyses

Format historical financial information in Excel worksheets

Prepare valuation models, to be further refined by the Senior Associate, based on the analysis of publicly traded companies, observed transactions in the industry, and projections developed for the subject company or assets being valued.

Build supporting models, to be further refined by the Senior Associate, to estimate the Weighted Average Cost of Capital, Depreciation and Amortization, and other valuation metrics or inputs.

Perform economic and industry analysis

Research economic and industry conditions, trends, and forecasts

Analyze the impact of such conditions, trends, and forecasts on the subject company or assets being valued

Write reports

Format reports with the appropriate VTAG standard sections

Write economic and industry overview sections

Compose sections describing the financial analysis performed

Document VTAG work product

Compile and organize all information used to determine the valuation conclusion

Reference final models and conclusions to their underlying source materials

Perform quality control functions to ensure that the Excel models calculate as intended

Required Skills

Essential Experience (special skills and experience, licenses, certifications, and education)

Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with a major in Finance or Economics

Minimum 2-5 years of strategic business consulting, valuation, and/or investment banking experience

Strong spreadsheet skills; financial modeling experience a plus.

Demonstrated communication skills, both verbal and written is a must

Solid organizational skills with a demonstrated ability to multitask
