To be fully engaged in providing Uncompromised Safety, Superior Quality, Memorable Patient/Customer Experiences, and Financial Stewardship by: providing superior quality, competitive value and outstanding service by creating, leading and instructing members through safe and effective group exercise classes. Instructors are expected to demonstrate knowledge of basic anatomy and kinesiology, class structure, music utilization and proper cuing techniques.
Provide safe and effective classes consistent with class descriptions.
Utilize equipment in a safe and knowledgeable manner. Report equipment in need of repair or replacement
Modify class content to accommodate various ability levels.
Develop music/tapes to appropriate class population.
Arrange for substitute instructors and notify coordinator of arrangements
Provides excellent customer service by answering questions related to the members' workouts
Must have a HS diploma or equivalent
Must maintain certification by a nationally recognized organization. ( AFAA, ACE, ESA, SPINNING, YogaFit, etc.)
Group Fitness Certification, Personal Training Certification or BS in Exercise Science (health and fitness related degree) accepted. Some certifications (ie Yoga, Spinning) do not require updating certification after initial certification. In this case, encourage continuing education
Must hold current AHA BLS Healthcare Provider Completion Card prior to start date and maintain.
