ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
·

Provide Clinical Informatics’ first level support to all customers by ensuring that problems are tracked and worked on until resolved.
·
Analyzes and defines workflow requirements and helps design solutions to satisfy the requirements.
·
Supports testing, documentation and installation of changes to the EMR
·
Communicates orally and in writing in concise understandable terms with all people involved in changes made to the EMR.
·
Coordinate and work effectively with providers, care staff, and IST
·
Assists and supports customers - providers and care staff
·
Identifies educational needs and opportunities using data from the organization such as regulatory requirements, survey information, employee and customer input
·
Establishes and maintains effective relationships and gains customers’ trust and respect
·
Develops positive working relationships with customers through responsiveness and delivery of accurate, timely and effective services
·
Provides/supports ongoing skills development and user/ floor support
·
Exhibits effort and follow-through in resolving customer problems and needs in a timely manner or keeps customer frequently abreast of development and status of issue
·
Brings resolution to issues on a timely basis and within policies or established standards
·
Ensures appropriate and complete computer orientation of clinical staff
·
Identifies educational opportunities for computer skill improvement and development
·
Provides user/floor support education and training as new releases occur and new functionality is developed
·
Provides computer proficiency information for the employees files
·
Demonstrates patience and care at all times when dealing directly with staff
·
Is respectful and responsive to staff, patients, families, significant others, peers, etc.
·
Adapts services as needed to reflect staff’s and/or patients’: age, gender, race, culture, nationality, sexual orientation, religion, disabilities, etc.

Compliant with Time and Attendance policy (review impact of unplanned absences, responsible use of PLT, lateness, or leaving work before the end of the regularly scheduled shift) Utilizes financial resources as identified to meet EPIC teams education needs

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
·


RN, RT, RX or other related health care professions required
·
Bachelor degree in healthcare, business or computer related major or equivalent experience required
PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE/BACKGROUND
·


Two years experience as an end user with Clinical Information Systems and computerized clinical charting required.
·
Two years experience in healthcare setting with demonstrated understanding of clinical practice required.
·
Process Engineering or Quality improvement experience preferred.
·
Training experience preferred
·
Two years experience in process redesign/workflow analysis, policy and procedure development, training, testing or education preferred.

Friends and Family BLS within 6 months of hire required
