Midwest Generation EME, LLC is part of the Edison Mission Group of companies and a subsidiary of Edison International. It is one of the largest independent power producers of electricity in the country. We are seeking qualified candidates for the position of Procurement Agent at our Bolingbrook, IL office.
Job Responsibilities:
Manages and controls corporate purchasing functions. Performs oversight and governance of purchasing activities at the plant sites. Develops and maintains procedures for Midwest Generation Supply Chain.
Manages the supply base including negotiating contract terms and conditions and coordinating all legal reviews of exceptions to our standard Terms and conditions.
Evaluates supplier performance and mediates contractual issues.
Perform material ordering functions as required by the MRP functions in SAP.
Maintains a working knowledge of supply base for the Power Generation Industry.
Negotiate and award capital project contracts.
Negotiates and leverages material and service contracts that are utilized throughout the organization.
Develops and oversees the execution of the Supply Chain procedures while utilizing EMG’s enterprize resource management system (SAP)
Performs strategic sourcing including vendor managed inventory, stocking partnerships, e-commerce and integrated supply.
Provide end user education on the procurement process as required along with continuing education on SAP enhancements.
Provide administration of SAP Master Data Base Files.
Performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
Any combination equivalent to, but not limited to, the following:
High school diploma or GED required; Associates Degree in Business or related field preferred. 3 to 5 years of procurement or related experience. Knowledge of SAP, Lotus Notes, Microsoft Office Suite, Internet Explorer.

Knowledge of power plant systems and inventory control practices
Physical Requirements/Working Conditions
This is primarily an office environment with moderate to medium noise levels. Occasional travel is required. Finger dexterity is needed to access, enter and retrieve data using a computer keyboard, typewriter keyboard or calculator and to operate standard office equipment. The position occasionally bends, stoops, reaches, pushes and pulls drawers to retrieve file information and lifts and carries reports and records that typically weigh less than 20 pounds.
