Responsible for managing the graphics process from the customer through to the press room. Acts as the primary graphics contact and consultant for assigned accounts with Bemis customers, as well as Customer Service, Sales, and Manufacturing personnel. In addition, coordinates efficient information for job orders for assigned complex accounts through the manufacturing process to meet customer needs.
Interacts with Bemis Customer Service, Sales, Manufacturing, and Customers (and their graphics agencies and/or customers) to collaborate on Graphics Orders to ensure they will be clear and accurate for the graphics development, whether internal or external, and re-producible on the press.
Communicates by phone, in person, e-mail, and voice-mail with all involved parties to facilitate satisfaction of all needs and expectations; including timing, quality, and cost.
Enters detail information from Graphics Orders into order tracking systems; i.e. Graphics Specifications Request (GSR) application.
Submits clear instructions for the Bemis Graphics Production employees completing separations and trapping.
Keeps detailed records and any changes to orders that are in progress. Any changes that affect billing, schedule or specification should be communicated back to the customer in writing as soon as possible-where appropriate.
Coordinates with the customer and "scheduling" dates that are achievable based on the design and the plant capacity. This is done with close communication with "Scheduling". The Graphic Administrator also maintains continuous communication with "Scheduling" when there are changes. The Graphic Administrator prepares and sends customer schedules as required for the assigned accounts.
Establishes graphics price quotes and provide information to marketing on number of colors and ink coverage for potential new customers.
Collects and maintains the information needed "Master Specification" document for each customer. It is the Graphic Administrator's responsibility to make sure that the specs on the Intranet are updated as changes take place.
Coordinates and attends all Pre & Post Production meetings.
Coordinates ink drawdowns for all new orders by ordering through the Colorbook Coordinator and then submits to customer for approval.
Completes a quality review on Proofs prior to their shipment to customers.
Interacts with Bemis customer service and customers to complete the Proof Approval Process.

Education & Experience Required
Ordinarily a high school diploma or its equivalency will satisfy the formal requirements for this position.
A two-year degree with emphasis on business administration or marketing is preferred, though not absolutely necessary.
Three to four years of exposure to general operations at Bemis Graphics would be an advantage before assuming these responsibilities.
A minimum of two years of experience in related graphics administration and/or workflows is required.
Skills & Abilities Needed
Must have a good knowledge of the manufacturing, printing and packaging processes.
Considerable communications skills, both oral and written, to successfully interact with customers Customer Service, Sales, Operations, Customers, Vendors, outside graphics Agencies, and Bemis Graphics personnel.
Strong administrative and organizational skills to handle a large volume workflow (paper and/or electronic) and determine and/or respond to appropriate priorities.
Basic working knowledge of MS-Excel, MS-Word, and MS-Outlook.
Knowledge of Macintosh computers, Adobe Photoshop/Illustrator/CS an advantage.
Ability to work in multi-task, multi-priority, high volume, and high velocity environment, with minimal supervision and direction.
Exhibited conscientious attention to detail, through successful work in similar environments.
Must have a pleasant personality, professional appearance, tact, and the ability to effectively communicate.
Able and willing to work over-time on planned or short-notice, and in some periods, significant and on-going, to complete given projects, or to respond to surges, seasonal or otherwise, in business volume.
