This summer corporate legal internship provides an opportunity for a first or second year law student to work as a legal intern in a fast-paced Corporate Law Department for ON Semiconductor Corporation, a public company international semiconductor entity with its corporate headquarters in Phoenix, AZ. Work areas would include a broad range of matters, such as: federal securities, corporate governance, corporate finance and treasury, mergers & acquisitions/dispositions, employment and labor, claims and litigation, immigration, compliance and ethics, and other general corporate legal work. This intern will have the opportunity to work closely with attorneys and others in the department, and report to the Vice President, Assistant General Counsel and Assistant Corporate Secretary. The intern must be well organized, detail oriented and professional. The intern must have excellent communication and inter-personal skills, demonstrate logic, reasoning, good judgment and have the ability to work independently and with a group/team. He/she must also have strong analytical and time management skills, and be able to meet deadlines. Our business and legal environment enables an intern to experience a wide range of in house legal issues common to publicly held international companies in the semiconductor industry.
