Function

The Technical Sales Consultant is a pre-sales Engineering position on the team selling and supporting sale opportunities focusing on the US Headquartered Fortune 500 multinationals. The position will challenge the candidate in establishing technical credibility with customers and being identified as an ITC consultant for the customer.

Responsibilities

Establish technical credibility with customers.

Provide specific solutions/technology/product consulting, technical and sales support.

Lead deployment of new technologies/products in Telefonica LATAM region, working closely with our company's Marketing Groups and the customer.

Make in-depth, high-level technology and product presentations to the customer.

Provide sales input to proposals in response to RFIs and RFPs.

Take initiative to learn in-depth the technologies, solutions, and products-internals.

Identify service level arrangements – “when, where, how” and coordinate these with various corporate entities

Provide critical input in drafting the business terms & conditions

Interact with external customers and internal organizations to provide input to product marketing and development.

Maintain a high level of understanding of current products and services as well as planned enhancement through formal and informal training.

Mentor other less experienced Systems Engineers on the team.

REQUIREMENTS

TECHNICAL KNOWLEDGE

Demonstrated technical knowledge and consultative skills.

Strong knowledge and exposure to at least one of the following areas of specialization: IP and MPLS, VPN's, QoS, and emerging technologies in the IP, MPLS and network-convergence technologies, hosting technologies Security, Load Balancing, Switching, Storage and Servers (Unix, NT, Linux).

Knowledge of relevant solutions sets, product line specifications, platform-internals, performance criteria and applications.

Competitive knowledge including solution, technology and product offerings.

Broad technical knowledge of voice/data products and services.

LANGUAGES

Multi-lingual Fluent in English and Spanish (Portuguese a plus)

EXPERIENCE

Excellent written and verbal communication, listening, negotiation and presentation skills.

Quick-study for new technologies/products.

Ability to work effectively, and lead a technical initiative.

Consultant / Pre-Sales experience required.

Typically requires at least BS/CS in EE/CS or equivalent.

COMPENSATION PLAN

Base Salary + Commission

Goals established as Sales Quota per engineer

Commissions based on revenue
