This job reports to the Manager of Retail and Guest Services . Relocation is not provided and travel is not required. This is a Full-Time position , working 1st Shift . Number of Openings for this position: 1 Overview This position is responsible for managing customer service and membership in the absence of the Manager and to assist the Manager in maintaining the museum’s daily operational functions. Job Skills/Requirements Oversee operation of customer service to include Admissions/Guest Relations, Retail, and Coat Check.
Train/cross train Guest Services Associates.
Supervise Guest Services Associates.
Prepare, update and distribute daily and other regular reports to Manager. Inventory Control
  • Order inventory as needed to maintain appropriate levels
  • Maintain Counterpoint inventory system.
Order packaging materials & office supplies.
  • Revise POs, receive, check in and tag merchandise.
  • Reconcile Purchase Ord... [more] Oversee operation of customer service to include Admissions/Guest Relations, Retail, and Coat Check. Train/cross train Guest Services Associates. Supervise Guest Services Associates. Prepare, update and distribute daily and other regular reports to Manager. Inventory Control - Order inventory as needed to maintain appropriate levels - Maintain Counterpoint inventory system. Order packaging materials & office supplies. - Revise POs, receive, check in and tag merchandise. - Reconcile Purchase Orders and invoices Membership - Keep all membership records updated (including databases and all hard copy reports). - Oversee telephone solicitation efforts for new and renewal members. - Send weekly reports of memberships to Manager of Membership and Customer Service and VP of Operations and Finance. General Assist with greeting, selling and cashiering as needed. Engage customers. Train staff in customer service skills and selling techniques. Upsell merchandise and memberships. Learn POS system and constantly look for ways to improve the efficiency of the Customer Service operations. Web-site - Manage web site sales. - Photograph items as needed - Inventory control of web items Merchandising - Create, refresh, maintain displays - Restock store inventory from back stock daily - Maintain signage Additional Information/Benefits • High School diploma, college preferred. • Minimum of 4 years full-time employment in any combination of the following environments: - retail/sales - guest relations - customer service • Good computer skills including use of word, documents, spreadsheet and e-mail applications • Experience in supervising others Benefits: Medical Insurance, Life Insurance, Dental Insurance, Vision Insurance, Paid Vacation, Paid Sick Days, Paid Holidays, Short Term Disability, Long Term Disability Screening Requirements: Criminal Background Check
