The enterprise solutions Test Center team is responsible for all aspects of support for the Test and Development centers in GM IT. These supports the lab and provides the state of the art playground for the development and Testing to configure, test and prove the software applications meet business requirements. About the role:
The LINUX/windows system administrator is part of a team of system administrators charged with maintaining, monitoring, and owning the Windows server infrastructure for GM IT Test and Development labs. The windows system administrator installs and configures latest software updates and security packages according to GM standards. This person documents and maintains processes for application installation and patching, performance improvement, availability of business server platforms, and troubleshooting technical issues. The system administrator proactively monitors all Test and development infrastructures, and maintains support according to published support levels.
- Bachelor's degree in an Information Technology related discipline or equivalent experience.
- At least 3 years of experience in Windows system administration.
- In-depth knowledge of operating systems, hardening of servers, data center operations standards.
