Support, initiate, and guide key operational initiatives within a critical area at Christiana Care. Partner with group management to identify operating issues and areas for operational improvements; define alternatives, develop recommendations, and assist IT team to create and execute solutions. Assess and guide testing efforts and lead/coordinate software and systems implementations, upgrades, configurations, and support for business area systems and applications; ensure quality and regulatory compliance. Monitor and improve ongoing support for area IT systems and act as internal consultant to management regarding IT practices, techniques, and potential solutions within the department.

PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
- Experience supporting software applications to improve functionality especially with regards to end user efficiency is a big plus
- Experience with clinical workflows with hospitals is highly desirable
2. Previous experience supporting a departmental level healthcare application preferred; background and experience in support of several (but not all) of the following applications: Midas, CERME, ProVation, OTTR, MOMS, and Safety Surveillor
3.Working knowledge of SQL Server 2005 or higher beneficial
4.Working knowledge of Windows Server 2003 or higher beneficial
5. HL7 interface experience beneficial
