DMI is currently seeking to hire a Telecommunications/ Integration Engineer for the Joint Communications Support Element for a Federal Government customer on a three year term contract at MacDill AFB in Tampa FL.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Provides recommendations and develops solutions to solve complex technical and tactical telecommunications issues. Conducts technical research for data, transmission, voice, and video systems so new solutions can be developed from current or leading-edge telecommunications technologies.
Designs, develops, and integrates new tools or telecommunications equipment into existing or new telecommunications capabilities to resolve tactical user requirements. Conducts design and integration efforts to meet current and future tactical telecommunications requirements used for JCSE operational missions.
Designs permanent solutions to tactical telecommunications problems, operational deficiencies, and plans for enhanced or improved capabilities to existing telecommunications equipment. Position requires ability to write technical reports and brief at senior-levels.
Delivers technical direction and analysis for tactical data, transmission, voice, and video telecommunications requirements. Conducts planning, debugging, integrating, installing, and maintaining tactical telecommunications/communications compromising of current and future data, transmission, voice, and video capabilities.
Delivers tactical telecommunications designs and integration capabilities to be used in various environments to include air, land, and marine.
Requirements:
Extensive electronics application and school certification training.
Extensive data, voice, video, and transmission telecommunications application knowledge.
Ability to conduct extensive technological research and apply information gathered to current requirements.
Incorporates and applies configuration management and quality assurance controls into future tactical telecommunications capabilities.
Position requires SEC+, NET+, Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA), and Microsoft Certified System Administration courses. Contractor has up to one year after contract award for individual to meet certification requirements.
The contractor shall possess a strong understanding of Internet Protocol (IP) theory in reference to systems and network design and is able to produce and brief systems, network, and architectural diagrams, as necessary.

Active Top Secret level security clearance with SCI access
