Under the general direction of the department manager, the incumbent works in a team to maintain all patient information and x-rays. Distributes records to physicians, nurses, therapists and clerical personnel. Provides assistance for department personnel. Ensures all records are filed and/or scanned in appropriate place with accuracy.
Nature and Scope:
This position distributes the information necessary to maintain a patient record with accuracy, obtaining, reviewing, scanning, documenting, and distribution of all necessary documentation for patient medical records as it relates to the care of a patient through visits to Renown. This position requires, flexibility to move throughout the department providing support to all personnel.
This position has the authority to make and screen phone calls to and from patients and/or physicians, takes messages where necessary, and to be service oriented with all those with whom they come in contact. Additional responsibilities and overtime may be required.
This position does not provide patient care.

Minimum Qualifications: Requirements - Required and/or Preferred
Must have working-level knowledge of the English language, including reading, writing and speaking English.
No previous experience required, however applicants who have worked in a healthcare setting will be given preference.
Computer / Typing:
Must possess, or be able to obtain within 90 days, the computers skills necessary to complete online learning requirements for job-specific competencies, access online forms and policies, complete online benefits enrollment, etc.
