The Sr. Application Developer will provide application development support by analyzing business requirements to develop appropriate system solutions. The Sr. Application Developer will also provide technical expertise in evaluating, developing, deploying, monitoring, and supporting systems and procedures that are cost effective and improve work efficiency. Additionally, the Sr. Application Developer will partner with chief infrastructure and architectural heads to ensure that the application meets company service level standards and roadmap requirements.

o Partnering with our System Analyst team, troubleshoot and provide solutions for production issues
- Production Support (~ 40 % of time)
o Work closely with IT Operations team to monitor production systems
o Develop Oracle eBS solutions using PL/SQL, Workflow, Oracle Forms and Reports and OA Framework
- Release / Project Support (~ 60% of time)
o Provide estimates for candidate enhancement and defect work to be included in monthly releases
o Analyze end-user needs and design, test, and develop software to satisfy demand
o Analyze, and translate business requirements in functional and non-function system requirements
o Work with database administrators to support relational databases
o Participate in building test plans and user acceptance test cases for quality assurance
o Build design and coding standards to ensure consistency across applications
o Improve the performance of applications through partnerships with System Analysts and DBA’s
o Create custom ad-hoc reports
o Partner with Operations to ensure successful deployment of solutions

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Responsible for upholding F5’s Business Code of Ethics and for promptly reporting violations of the Code or other company policies
- Performs other related duties as assigned
o Experience with Data Integration technologies and solutions
- Additional technical experience preferred includes:
o Experience with ETL Technologies and Event Driven Integration
o Experience with Linux including shell scripting
o Experience with SOA or Fusion Middleware (FMW)
o Experience with relational database concepts
o Experience with both Waterfall and Agile SDLC processes
o Strong understanding of business processes and how technology can enhance and improve these processes
o Strong communication skills
o Strong programming and design skills
o Proficient planning, problem solving, troubleshooting, and organizational skills
o Competent experience with XML and Web Services
o Analytical and detail oriented
BS/BA or equivalent work experience.
Physical Demands and Work Environment:
- 7+ years development experience in supporting or implementing Oracle eBS solutions
- Duties may require being on call periodically and working outside normal working hours (evenings and weekends)
- Duties are performed in a normal office environment while sitting at a desk or computer table. Duties require the ability to utilize a computer, communicate over the telephone, and read printed material
