The Lead Environmental Technician performs a variety of duties in the environmental area.
Adjusts and maintains soil and groundwater remediation equipment, components, devices, or systems.
Performs calibration and alignment checks; makes adjustments, modifications, and replacements as directed.
Performs preventative maintenance on environmental extraction systems in accordance with prescribed manuals/documentation.
Conduct routine system monitoring to include the collection of soil, groundwater, industrial wastewater, hazardous waste and soil vapor samples.
Records field data and prepares reports, summaries, or charts that interpret test results.
Conduct routine system monitoring to include the collection of soil, groundwater, industrial wastewater, hazardous waste and soil vapor samples; and maintain associated remediation system files.
Interacts with customer at industrial facilities.
Provide general site management
Respond to and investigate hazardous conditions or spills.
Make recommendations to control or eliminate unsafe conditions at workplaces or public facilities.
Other duties as assigned.

High School Diploma/equivalent
8 years experience with environmental remediation systems
Experience with environmental remediation system management software, i.e., MAROS, SoilVision Systems
Associate’s Degree preferred
Ability to communicate professionally with customers/clients and sr. level management
Strong mechanical and safety aptitude and have experience working with plumbing, electrical, and general construction related trades.
