Job Description: Candidate will need to develop and test software to enable new usage models for Intel's processor graphics hardware. These will include areas of augmented reality, image and video processing and development on Windows and Android platforms. It will be essential for candidate to develop and build vertical software stacks including but not limited to applications, middleware, drivers and or firmware. Candidate will work in a dynamic and nimble team environment and deliver Proof of Concepts to VPG's strategic planning and architecture teams.
Candidate will need to be a PhD or graduate student at a reputed university and have a solid understanding of C/C++ programming, computer architecture, software development principles and visual computing API's such as DirectX, OpenGL and OpenCL. Exposure and a good understanding of graphics and GPU hardware internals will be a plus. Image and video processing algorithm development and optimization for multi-threading and multi-processor environments is also a plus.
