The Project Manager is responsible for the overall success of highly complex, multi-function projects. Project Managers are accountable for project initiation and planning; stakeholder management and communications; driving new product development activities and deliverables to completion; risk management; scope management; and ensuring that project deliverables ultimately meet customer expectations. Duties can include:

1. Identifies critical technical and project issues, identifies corrective actions, and follows through to completion. Continually identifies and manages risk and looks ahead to eliminate problems.
2. Establishes project plans, including projections of required resources (time, cost, personnel, facilities, and equipment). Manages the scope, schedule, and budget constraints. Also performs schedule, cost, and critical activity tracking against the plan.
3. Directs all planning and monitoring of the activities required to meet project goals including completion of program deliverables during all defined stages.
4. Serves as the primary project interface and provides communication to team members, stakeholders, and management.
5. Works with functional managers to establish work plans and to ensure the appropriate resources are assigned to deliver on project objectives. Provides input to functional managers on project team performance.
