Responsible for Customs compliance, growth of business, development and profitability of department in accordance with annual business plan and Budget
Assumes accountability for: Customs compliance/statements and best operational practices Employee development goals, performance, productivity and morale Customer service levels, business development and growth Breakbulk process Accurate billing practices Responsible for profitability through: Budget monitoring Cash flow analysis (A/R, COTS, ACH, Open Job) Performance monitoring (Radar reports) Market/customer analysis Preparation of quotations for new/existing business Responsible for all regulatory issues within the department such as classifications, port entry and problem resolution. Provide sales support as necessary. Manages Partnership / Agent relationship development. Performs Bid/RFI/RFQ cost/benefit analysis and price authorization.
Minimum of five (5) years of import brokerage/freight forwarding industry experience; with at least two (2) years in a supervisory management position A current CHB License is required. A four year college degree is preferred but not required. Transportation industry, Import/ Brokerage/Global transportation/Regulatory and business development.
