This position requires the ability to learn and identify cardiac rhythms. This position does not work on equipment, this position observes the heart rhythms on multiple monitor screens.
Provides indirect care in the department setting. Monitors cardiac rhythms via direct cardiac screen or telemetry monitors. Meets communication needs of the department. Maintains regulatory body requirements, policies and procedures and participates in performance improvement activities. Performs duties and responsibilities in a manner consistent with our mission, values, and Mercy Service Standards.
Education: High School Graduate or equivalent
Experience: Prefer Healthcare Experience
Certifications: Prefer a college level rhythm class with passing grade. Must pass a rhythm test administered by the director
Other: Ability to read and communicate effectively in English. Basic computer knowledge.
