needed for a 3-6 month contract to design and develop middleware APIs and service supporting web applications for South Bay based client.
The ideal candidate should have a background in middleware and technical experience building foundational components for a SOA system using Restful API(s) at a Web 2.0 company.
You will:
Extend the infrastructure and framework to support the analytics and data mining technologies.
Deliver interfaces and other integration capabilities to the web layer in a seamless and maintainable manner
Design and develop code in PHP and Javascript, using MySQL and MongoDB for data storage
Collaborate with cross-functional teams (QA, release engineering, Internet operations, infrastructure and application engineers) in regular product release cycle
Participate in design review of application components throughout the platform and provide guidance for interoperability with web layer
Develop unit tests and automation test scripts as part deliveries.
5-7+ years experience in programming/development
Comfortable with Agile development methodology
Experience with AJAX, JavaScript, PHP, HTML and CSS
Strong experience in server-side web application development in a LAMP setup
Proficiency in SQL, relational database schema design and ORM technologies and concepts
Excellent knowledge of object-oriented design principles
Expert in designing systems written in PHP and Javascript.
Unit testing – automation experience is preferred
Minimum 3 years of experience developing commercial applications
Experience with web service technologies including SOAP, REST and/or JSON
Unix/Linux experience
Experience with Prototype/JQuery/ExtJs Library – MySQL/MongoDB
Design experience in MVC – Observer – RESTFUL architecture
