Acentia is seeking a Project Coordinator I (Short Term) to join our team.

The Project Coordinator will carry out a multitude of broad assignments in a fast-paced head-quarters environment; understanding and experience in the planning, policy, evaluation, and integration of earth system scientific research; ability to provide written and oral communication on OAR research issues.

Responsibilities to include (but not be limited to the following):

Assist with special project development, execution, and analysis

Assist with running competitive grant review panels

Assist with selection and placement of fellowship finalists

Assist with the National Sea Grant Performance Review Panels

Assist with technical workshops in areas of Programmatic concern

Assist with Sea Grant Communication projects

Assist with all aspects of Planning, Implementation and Evaluation (PIE)

Required Skills

Minimum Experience:
2 years of science experience related to climate, weather and water, oceans, and/or ecosystems

Skills and Qualities:
Must be organized, timely, and customer service oriented

Ability to work well independently and in a team setting

Adaptability, flexibility and ability to deal with ambiguity and change

Excellent oral and written communication and customer service skills

Excellent attention to detail and good analytical skills

B.A. or B.S. degree in Marine or earth sciences or another applicable field (Desired)

An equivalent combination of education and experience, which provides comparable knowledge, is acceptable

Must be able to pass a Minimum Background Investigation
