Bachelor's Degree

Responsible for the coordination of research activities and services for approved inpatient and outpatient clinical research studies. Primary duties include screening and recruiting patients for participation in clinic research studies, coordinating care of research subjects during studies to ensure compliance with study protocols, collecting data and preparing case report forms. Knowledge of healthcare standards and practices normally acquired through completion of a Bac helor’s degree in Health Related Sciences, or Registered Nurse (RN) and Wisconsin Licensure. Certified Clinical Research Coordinator (CCRC) or Certified Clinical Research Professional (CCRP) preferred. Three years of clinical trial research experience beneficial. Knowledgeable in medical terminology including the specifics of cardiac anatomy, terminology, various cardiovascular disease states, medications, surgical procedures and cardiac test results. Knowledge of data management protocols and requirements for consenting/following research subjects during active treatment while enrolled in research protocols. Strong interpersonal and communication skills. Skilled in decision making and problem solving for dealing with research subject issues and management of research protocols. Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple studies at one time. Proficient computer skills to include word processing, spreadsheets and data bases. Available to rotate in the on-call schedule, including possibly nights, weekends and holidays contingent upon current study requirements. Ability to travel to outreach locations according to enrolled subject demographics.
