Molecular Biology Core Facility
is now performing next generation sequencing experiments which are already in very high demand and will likely continue to be more so. We wish to recruit an individual with experience in this highly technical field and/or that has the capability to learn the methods quickly in order to support this work. This individual will also be asked to perform
(including sample labeling, hybridization and scanning), real time
(including primer & probe design), and
nucleic acid extractions
from a variety of challenging tissue types. Since the use of robotics in support of all of these activities is often necessary, experience with these instruments is preferred. The successful candidate will also be familiar with
experimental design and data analysis
. Furthermore, s/he will be expected to possess very advanced troubleshooting skills.
HS diploma or equivalent required; Bachelor degree preferred.
Previous medical experience a benefit.
