Coordinates and communicates between the clinical staff and IS staff regarding clinical informatics systems and processes. Supports and implements technical support to ensure success of clinical informatics systems. Collaborates with the IS Project Manager(s) and Analysts as well as Programming, Technical Support and Operations, and other staff in coordinating and communicating problems and ensuring their resolution.


Prepares, educates and provides technical support to clinicians.
Promotes use of information technology by clinicians.
Works collaboratively with other members of the Clinical Informatics team.
Focuses on support and continued adoption of advanced clinical application. §
Analyzes and assesses the performance of advanced clinical applications and identify opportunities for design and/or workflow improvement
Participates in testing releases prior to installation
Assists with assessment of future technology for clinicians
Partners with IT to implement upgrades
Localize national workflow changes in response to system changes and enhancements
Participate in testing
Provide training as appropriate
Confers with managers, systems analyst and programmers on assigned projects and problem, to assist in the successful completion of tasks.
Assists in developing project status reports to project leaders.
Performs data collection, aggregation activities and report generation.
Communicates proactively and effectively with clinical user departments to understand departmental needs and match them with application functionality and design.
Performs other duties as assigned or as necessity dictates.
Performs some general office and clerical duties.

Bachelor's Degree required or may substitute a professional level of knowledge in a specialized field (computer science or related field), which is equivalent to that which would be acquired by completing a regular four year college program.
1-3 years healthcare experience
Experience with clinical information systems strongly preferred.
Proficient in use of computer applications, i.e. MS Office programs. Advanced computer or information systems training preferred.
Ability to travel up to two weeks per month during peak project activity.
Excellent communication skills.
