The Position
Safety-Kleen is seeking a Regional Sales Manager for its Northeast U.S. branch sales geography. This position will be responsible for growing the Safety-Kleen brand and vision by building a high-performing sales team, leveraging an effective sales process, collaborating with operations support teams, and ensuring outstanding customer relationships.
The Responsibilities
Ownership of +$100.M branch sales target with 6-8 sales managers and over 75 sales professionals
Oversee and administer branch sales forecast and resource deployment
Drive continuous process improvement and discipline for accurate, timely and credible for sales forecasts
Manage quota setting process to ensure quotas are achievable and accurate based on market trends and historical performance
Effectively implement branch sales initiatives with ability to leverage internal synergies, best practices and ensure alignment with overall strategy
Develop metrics-driven approach to evaluate sales & service performance through modeling, reporting and analytics
Play a directing role in creating, expanding and reorganizing the sales function within assigned geography to ensure maximum effectiveness
Lead people-focused initiatives: talent sourcing and selection of top tier candidates, on-boarding/ramp-up process, training curriculum (technical and competency related), talent reviews, and career development action planning

The Person
The ideal candidate should be an intelligent, motivated, and accomplished sales leader who has a track record of building and leading high performing sales teams.
Needed experience includes:
Developing and executing sales strategy; targeted customer selection, and sales processes
Experience in B2B markets, preferably in direct sales route based service organizations
Developing, mentoring, and managing high-performing teams
Managing complex selling and commercial sales processes
Track record of exceeding revenue targets and growing market presence.
At least 10 years of experience in sales and sales management for a large distributed, service focused sales organization
leveraging CRM (Salesforce.com) and other sales tools/technology
Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing or related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience. Master’s degree in Business Administration is a plus.
