Chesapeake Energy Corporation is seeking a talented individual for the position of Geoscience Assistant. This position is located at our corporate headquarters in Oklahoma City, OK.

The Geoscience Assistant provides administrative support for the Geoscience department, and has a diversified workload based on the needs of the division/district.
      Duties and responsibilities include:
      Performs administrative duties including typing, copying, distributing and filing correspondences, memos, letters, etc.
      Maintains management’s schedule and calendar; may be responsible for manager’s inbox
      Schedules meetings for the team and/or manager; coordinates other meeting logistics as needed for the team
      Aids in preparing PowerPoint slides for presentations; runs A/V equipment during team and management meetings
      Helps maintain Geoscience Calendar and team schedules; updates district portals and sharepoint sites as needed
      Makes travel arrangements for manager and/or team as needed
      Organizes and prepares packets for the department, such as drilling reports, activity reports, and completion reports
      Prepares, maintains and posts the drilling schedule
      Updates and distributes well data distribution sheets
      Prepares prespud and predrill packets; performs rigview updates as needed
      Tracks and distributes Geo Assessments and Land Assessments
      Creates log images for Geological Assessments, generates maps, and cross-sections to display data in a meaningful format
      Communicates with partners and data/software vendors to collect data
      Keeps team informed on competitor activity
      Tracks and documents OCC activity

      Minimum Requirements:
      Bachelors Degree
      One to two years in an administrative support role.
      Excellent written and verbal English communications skills.
      Able to effectively manage time and prioritize projects in order to meet established deadlines, often within time sensitive conditions.
      Demonstrate basic computer knowledge through effective use of a personal computer including, but not limited to Microsoft Office applications
      Able to work and communicate effectively with all levels of co-workers, within and across departments.
      Detail oriented and highly organized, conscientious of the quality of work produced
      Able to work in fast-paced, team environment with multiple, changing priorities
      Able to troubleshoot applications
      Working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications, GeoGraphix Discovery, ArcView GIS/ArcMap, Adobe, Hyperion, and Spot Fire
