Bachelor’s degree IT/Computer Science or equivalent experience
5 or more years system administration experience
Knowledge of server implementation and setup, sever cloning and server buildouts
Expert knowledge of Red Hat Enterprise operating systems
Experience with IBM AIX portioned servers or work with partition servers on another platform
Experience with SAN Fiber storage administration with EMC or similar based unit
RAID management and planning expertise
Ability to clone using PXE or similar technology/methodology
Experience with Oracle E-Business and Oracle database applications and database of similar large ERP applications like SAP or J.D. Edwards
Knowledge of fiber connection, ISCSI connection
Excellent oral and written communication skills
Excellent organizational skills
Knowledge of Disk Array setup and administration
Strong attention to detail
Must be able to exhibit tact and diplomacy and maintain effective professional relationships
Ability to work independently and in a team environment
Able to keep multiple resources focused and on task
Ability to travel locally to Data Center
Job Description
Will administer and monitor Linux- based servers including storage administration. Establish, maintain operating system user accounts. Perform server troubleshooting for various customers and applications. Ensure high availability and acceptable levels of performance on mission critical- hosts but also for any production migration-based hosts, i.e. development, test, etc. Provide disaster recovery planning and execution of the plan. Stay current on technology working with the team. Lead SAN storage administration. Will be responsible for server cloning and setup. When necessary, will travel locally to Data Center to perform hands- on server or SAN work.
