Using advanced, broad-based financial accounting business knowledge, performs complex analyses to support and measure corporate results and effectively manages financial planning projects and resources to ensure project success. Works with independence, interacts regularly with business unit and corporate financial management to consolidate and analyze quarterly forecasts and financial plans, analyze monthly financial results and establish & measure key financial targets. Performs competitive analyses, researches industry trends and develops recommendations for executive management. Prepares written/graphical financial information to support executive communications to the Board of Directors, Institutional Investors, Rating Agencies, etc.
Prepares, analyzes and reviews quarterly rolling forecasts and annual financial plans for the consolidated corporation. Analyzes and reviews actual monthly financial performance. Instinctively recognizes inconsistences in financial data and initiates and manages the appropriate corrective action.
Works with CEO and CFO on various analyses, presentations, etc.
Manages the evaluation and justification of capital investments, joint ventures, acquisitions/divestitures, and other strategic initiatives as needed.
Calculates/measures progress towards executive compensation targets.
Acting in a consulting role, demonstrates understanding of the financial analysis process and applies that knowledge to developing cost effective analyses and recommendations.
Maintains dialog with executive management and business unit financial personnel to identify and evaluate evolving business issues.
Manages special studies and analyses on an independent basis, assuming responsibility for the quality and effectiveness of the studies/analyses.
Prepares economic packages for board of directors monthly letters.
Bachelor's Degree (or equivalent) in Accounting or Finance
Minimum (5) five years progressive financial experience in a multinational business.
Strong analytical skills, research capabilities and overall business acumen
Solid project management and business consultant skills.
Excellent communications skills, including significant experience in written and oral reports and presentations to high-level management.
Working knowledge of Excel/Power Point/Word
Should have ability to listen effectively, evaluate the most critical elements being communicated and communicate with team and Director on an open and timely basis.
