The role of the Housekeeper at POMH is to provide a clean, safe environment for
patients / visitors and staff throughout the facility. The housekeeper is responsible for safe disposal of trash, medical waste (biohazard) and processing of laundry in building and maintaining linen inventory for the facility. These responsibilities include commitment to the goals and objectives of the organization and active participation in helping the organization fulfill its mission / vision while assuring compliance with all policy and procedures and safety regulatory requirements.
High School diploma or GED equivalent preferred. Must be able to speak, read and write English (as demonstrated by completion of application and job interview). Ability to read and understand written instructions such as labels and work assignments. Must be able to push, pull carts, mattresses, etc., lift and otherwise manipulate fifty (50) pounds. Previous housekeeping experience particularly in a healthcare setting is strongly desired. Organizational skills, effective time management, flexibility and self motivation are essential.
