Nationally recognized St. Luke's University Hospital is recruiting a Physical Therapist to join our team. This position works collaboratively with other members of the hospice interdisciplinary team to assure delivery of the high quality physical therapy services and assure patient safety in accordance with physician’s orders and with the agency’s programs and policies. Services are provided in the patient’s place of residence or in the VNA's inpatient Hospice House.
A graduate of a program approved by the Council on Medical Education of the American
Medical Association in collaboration with the American P.T. Association or its equivalent and
by the State. Home health and/or hospice experience preferred.
Occasionally lift and/or carry 100 lbs
Frequently lift and/or carry 50 lbs
Stand and/or walk at least 6 hours in an 8-hour work day
Stooping (bending at the waist) and crouching (stooping and bending at the knees) – required frequently
Handling (grasping) – required frequently
Fingering (fine manipulation) – required only occasionally
Important: The functional capacity to perform heavy work includes the functional capacity to perform medium, light and sedentary work.
