We are currently seeking a Sales Representative to join our field sales force.
This position is primarily responsible for a completing a sales training program which includes a combination of structured on-the-job learning with a focus on building an understanding of the products and services, organizational infrastructure, sales channels and sales skills .
Completes and participates in all required learning and training including performing customer service duties for three-four months. Works effectively with seasoned sales professionals who serve as a Mentor in educating the trainee to the various product and services offered by Lindsey & Hall Inc . Meets with the mentor and his/her customers. Develops an understanding of products, services and sales channels. Learns the basic financial drivers of the Sales Business and Product lines. Learns sales competencies – including communication, presentation, negotiation, and relationship building skills. Supports the sales office by meeting with customers, making cold calls, providing post-sale service and interaction with clients, and assisting seasoned sales professionals with their territories. Generates reports to track/report activities, progress, and strategies. Performs other related duties as assigned or required
Field Sales Training:
Develops filed experience with varying customer types (large and small), automotive, marine, hospitality, contract, awning, medical, etc. Applies selling skills to maintain existing business, develop incremental business in existing accounts, and develop new accounts through networking, cold calling and research. Develops price quotes, presentations and customer proposal recommendations. Provides regular sales reports and forecasts, opportunities and accounts. Develops, writes, and executes a strategic business plan for managing assigned territory annually, updated quarterly. Provides written weekly call plans to your manager in support of the territory business plan and meet with manager to review plans as requested. Assists in marketing at trade shows and regional meetings. Participates in discussions regarding new products and services with experienced and creative inputs.
Develops and manages a territory Maintains relationships with new and existing clients Drives profitable sales growth. Executes effective cold call strategies to acquire new accounts. Generates referrals from current customers Prepares for sales visits ahead of the meeting Managed all aspects of customer accounts Responds to questions and solving problems Holds client relationship meetings Maintains accurate records for customer orders, all sales records, and sales activity including documentation of prospecting meetings, etc. Assists with collection of accounts receivables.
College degree a plus Prior sales experience Bilingual in Spanish a plus Knowledgeable on primary product offerings, contract, tools and technology. Understanding and application of core selling skills to respond to leads and deliver client-centric solutions. Communicates/presents effectively, customer focus, relationship building and interpersonal skills Knowledge of Microsoft Office applications – Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc. Ability to locate, and bring in new customers Must possess exceptional organizational, written and verbal skills Effective negotiating and persuasion skills Ability to meet or exceed forecasted sales figures on a monthly, quarterly and annual basis Maintain a corporate image
Benefits & Compensation:
Commission based salary, minimum base salary available for first six months. Benefits include health insurance and 401 k matching.
