Set-up fixtures on machines, dry-cycle part programs and cut parts to engineered specifications.
Writing test programs & customer part programs. Five axis programming required.
Post Processor UG/Catia Cam experience is an asset.
Start up and debug of CNC program from initial communications through to complete auto cycle.
Perform customer machine exceptions (quality and function).
Implementation of machine NC programs and recovery tools.
Troubleshooting of machine devices, including electrical hardware, fluids equipment, mechanical functions and machining process.
Mark-up and updating of tool layout drawings including sequencing, speed & feeds, depths, etc.
Uses established quality and environmental systems, including job procedures, work instructions and forms.
Accepts responsibility for the assigned project and job requirements and effectively communicates problems or concerns working toward a quick and satisfactory resolution.
Accurately and timely completes service reports, progress reports, checklists and correspondence to internal and external colleagues, customers and suppliers.
Shares ideas for process improvements and other cost saving measures to management.
Ability to navigate and write five axis programs
Ability to work with basic algebra, plane and solid geometry and trigonometry. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.
Associate's degree (A.A.) plus four to six years of machine tool experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
