We have been asked to identify an Oracle E-Business Suite Application DBA for one of our clients in North Dallas, Texas.
Candidates are expected to have specialized in Oracle E-Business Suite throughout a progressively challenging career, preferably in enterprise environments. The selected person will work in a team environment supporting Oracle E-Business Suite installation/upgrade/patching/operations. Expectations require a minimum of 6 years of Oracle Applications DBA experience and detailed understanding of EBS (184.108.40.206 / R12). The position will be involved in the migration of critical Oracle Applications & Databases from Solaris Sparc servers to Linux servers running SUSE 10 /11. Previous experience migrating from Solaris to Linux is essential.
Installation, upgrading and patching the Oracle RDBMS
Database backup and recovery using RMAN
Database operations monitoring using scripts and OEM
Copying databases/renaming files and creating control files
SQL/PL SQL and UNIX shell scripting experience
Focus on providing a high availability database
Tuning SQL and PL/SQL
Physical and logical tuning of Oracle Database
The candidate must have supported a development environment, be flexible with work hours, be personable and available for on-call.
Flexibility to be on-call 24x7. Candidates must possess strong skills in analyzing, conceptualizing and problem solving.

Multi Node configuration
Shared APPL_TOP configuration
Parallel Concurrent Processing
DB on multi-node RAC
Staged Patching Database (10gR2/11g)
Physical Standby Configuration (Data-Guard)
Backup / Recovery using RMAN Data-Warehouse
