Job Description: Responsibilities may be quite diverse of a software technical nature. Experience and education requirements will vary significantly depending on the unique needs of the job. Job assignments are usually for the summer or for short periods during breaks from school.
The intern candidate will work in the area of Big data SW stack. The project involves analysis of algorithms and parallelizing them. It involves redesign the flows and algorithm and tracking the energy measurement so that the parallelization work is demonstrable toward the goal of Energy optimization. This will be applied in the area of Genomics and a good background will be a big advantage.
The candidate need to have a very good knowledge of Linux and Windows, have SW code skills and very debug skills.
Very good knowledge of servers, the various operational modes and Cluster management SW will be a big plus.
The candidate will explore various SW flows and optimize them for latency, throughput and Energy in this project.
- Must be pursuing a BS degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, and/or Electrical Engineering
- Must have the unrestricted right to work in the US without requiring sponsorship
