Functional analysis of novel oncogenes and tumor suppressor genes in bladder cancer

The Cancer Genetics and Pathology Departments at Roswell Park Cancer Institute are searching for an ambitious PhD biologist for a postdoctoral research project in the functional study of novel oncogenes and tumor suppressor genes in bladder cancer.
Projects will be oriented around one or some combinations of the following topics: identification and characterization of novel tumor suppressor genes and/or oncogenes; and study of their dysfunction mechanisms in bladder cancer (e.g., using cell culture, animal models). Self-motivated and detail-oriented individuals with appropriate training background in cell and molecular biology are encouraged to apply. The candidate’s research would be supervised by Jianmin Zhang, PhD, Assistant Professor of Oncology and Carl D. Morrison, MD, Associate Professor of Pathology and Director of the Pathology Resource Network. Position offers independence as well as important collaborative opportunities with the University at Buffalo School of Medicine. Position is available immediately.
