What is the Operations Leadership Development Program?
This Operations Leadership Development Program (OLDP) places you in the center of some of the most dynamic areas of Siemens’ business operations. You will learn the application of LEAN & Six Sigma tools and apply these skills to improve the business strategy for manufacturing, distribution, supply chain, and procurement in the U.S.

There are two unique options for the OLDP – Manufacturing or Materials. The Manufacturing Program Track provides you with the skills needed to become a Front Line Supervisor in Production, Process Improvement Engineer, Manufacturing Engineer, or a Production Planner. The Materials Program Track prepares you to work as a Purchasing Supervisor, Warehouse Operations, Manufacturing Resource Planning, Inventory Manager, or Field Procurement Analyst.

The OLDP is a two-year program that consists of four, six-month rotational assignments. Each rotation combines instructional sessions and hands-on experience. You will receive mentoring from Siemens’ team of innovators, gain access to and network with Siemens senior decision-makers and key leaders, and learn what it is like to work as part of a company that is solving global challenges.

Manufacturing Program Track

Potential Experiences:
  • Materials Management
  • Supervision of production process including daily operations, improvements on the manufacturing line and reporting
  • Distribution, including shipping and receiving schedules, supply chain management, and improving processes for inventory management
  • Process improvement using LEAN and Six Sigma
Materials Program Track

Potential Experiences:
  • Purchasing
  • Manufacturing Resource Planning
  • Global procurement including strategic purchasing, sourcing strategies, and supplier contract negotiations
  • Distribution center supervisor including quality assurance, commodities management, shipping and receiving

To apply for the Operations Leadership Development Program, candidates must meet the following requirements:

  • Majors: BS In Chemistry/Biochemistry
  • Graduation Date: Must graduate by the program start date, but no more than one year prior
  • Minimum GPA: 3.0
  • Potential Rotation Locations include but are not limited to: Tarrytown, NY; Glasgow, DE; Walpole, MA; Brookfield, CT
  • Work Authorization: Permanent work authorization in the U.S. is required
