BKD's Credit Analyst Consultants work with financial institutions ranging in size from small community banks to multibillion-dollar institutions, helping them understand their exposure to risk. Because loans represent the lion's share of assets for most financial organizations, the quality of these loans is critical to our clients' health and continued viability.
As a Staff Consultant, you will support all aspects of loan review projects. You may:
assess credit risk associated with individual commercial borrowers and with entire loan portfolios
evaluate loan documentation
interact with bank management
recommend alternatives for improvement
conduct due diligence related to potential acquisitions
work with a loan review team
write and present reports
work closely with BKD auditors
Overnight travel, 50% will be necessary with this position.
Required Skills
Required Experience
Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting or other business related field required
Minimum of one years experience working in a banking environment
Strong analytical, interpersonal and organizational skills a must
Ability to travel regionally to serve financial institution clients
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Proficiency with Microsoft applications (Word, Excel and PowerPoint)
Customer service mindset essential
