Will serve as part of the administrative staff in the Florence Family Planning/Sexually Transmitted Disease unit. Will greet and assist clients being seen in that clinic. Understands and can operate in the complex dynamics of the FP/STD unit. Has the ability to follow procedures, work with computer systems for the agency, and can accept and receipt money. Provides encounters in a culturally sensitive manner.

Minimum and Additional Requirements:

High school diploma or GED and three (3) years of experience in a professional office setting or associate degree in secretarial science and two (2) years of experience in a professional office setting. Must have use of an automobile and possess a valid SC Driver's License. Must be able to drive to outlying counties and to non-traditional settings to provide administrative support for WIC certifications and /or other programmatic needs. May be required to travel overnight in some instances. Must be able to lift 25 lbs.
"Institutions of higher learning must be recognized by the Council for Higher Education Accreditation."

Preferred Qualifications:

Past history with working in a medical office setting for at least one (1) year

This position is located in the Florence County Health Department.
