Performs moderately complex administrative tasks in support of Plant operations under usually minimal supervision. |
Secretarial/administrative needs anticipated and coordinated. Tours set up and given as needed. Phones calls answered, screened, and routed correctly. Calls handled as much as possible using thorough knowledge of location activities, policies, procedures, etc. May perform telephone coordination (phone programming, training, etc.). Expense tracking, correspondence, documents, reports, and presentation graphics drafted, prepared error-free and within timelines, and distributed appropriately. Back up LAN and troubleshoot computer & equipment problems (e.g., computers, software, printers, copiers, etc.) May oversee work of office temps. Work closely with Agronomists in Grower relations and contracts. Work with grower/custom operator invoicing and payments. Prepare, monitor and reconcile scale tickets. Cross-train in all Administrative Assistant duties.
Education and Experience
High school diploma or equivalent with some secretarial or office training/knowledge. Two to three (2 - 3) years of secretarial/administrative experience required.
Agricultural background helpful but not essential. Excellent interpersonal communication and rapport building skills. Able to maintain proper level of confidentiality. Good project coordination skills. Proficient PC skills including word processing, spreadsheet, and database usage. Good spelling, grammar, and business writing skills. Good math and computational skills. Records management skills. Organized, good time management skills, and able to balance several things at once. Small office environment with seasonal task and workload fluctuations. On occasion, may need to work in plant, warehouse, or outdoor setting.
