The Regional Coordinator for the Learner Web will coordinate the activities of this pilot project in the Hartford area. The Coordinator will initiate the development of this on-line learning system for adult learners under the supervision of a program manager at CREC. Programmatically, the Coordinator will monitor usage and student progress, pair learners with tutors as needed, and review curriculum for regional use.
Other duties include: Serve as liaison with Portland State University (national provider)
Attend Training provided by the national provider
Serve as liaison for the Hartford project with other national implementing partners
Lead the selection and potential development of content for the Hartford implementation
Train student users and other local administrators in the use of the Learner Web
Support all Hartford sites of the Learner Web
Assist with project data collection and evaluation activities
Five years experience working with adult learners, preferably in an adult education program. High level of skills in using instructional technology. Good communication skills. Familiarity with the service provider network in the Greater Hartford area preferred. College degree -B.A. minimum. Ability to travel locally and nationally as needed.
