What Warehouse Operations contributes to Cardinal Health
Warehouse Operations is responsible for performing/controlling a combination of manual or automated tasks necessary for the receipt, storage, and shipment of product. This may include functions of receiving, picking, packing, shipping, staging, transporting, storage, delivery, etc. Also responsible for the efficient flow of products from the point of product receipt from vendors to the shipment of products (via prescribed service parameters) to a variety of internal and external customers.

Accountabilities in this role
The Storeroom Supervisor will be responsible for directing the staff and activities of the surgical case cart and GSS area at The Nebraska Medical Center. This position oversees staff in the preparation and delivery of department floor requests and surgical case carts that meet customer requirements in a timely, efficient and cost-effective manner. The Supervisor will be responsible for the care, maintenance and stocking of the supplies in the surgical supply and GSS supply storerooms.

  • High school diploma required; degree preferred
  • 1-2 years related experience
  • Strong communication skills
  • Strong leadership skills
  • Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office
  • Experience in leading teams with demonstrated ability to motivate staff, delegate effectively, and coach and develop
  • Must be able to effectively communicate with internal and external customers, including hospital managers
  • Experience with supply chain management and/or surgical services are a plus
  • Demonstrated skills in the areas of: customer service, staff management and success in leading measurable process improvements
  • Must be able to make critical and necessary decisions independently and in a timely manner
