Senior Java Programmer
Alaska USA Federal Credit Union - Anchorage, AK
Primary Functions:

Plans, organizes, controls, and reports on multiple complex projects in the accomplishment of stated business objectives.

Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Demonstrated superior results as a Programmer Analyst III.
  • Project Management in directing efforts to solve complex problems involving multiple platforms and departments.
  • Provides leadership, work direction, and may coordinate the activities of other staff members.
  • Establish project objectives and plans by analyzing project proposals and collaborating with management.
  • Control project activities by effectively using project plans to achieve desired results.
  • Preparation of requirement documents.
  • Assist in the preparation and presentation of business proposals to departments and senior management.
  • Prepares consolidated project status reporting.
  • Maintain in-depth knowledge of current and emerging applications, technologies and standards.
  • Perform other duties as assigned in support of team efforts and results.
    • Qualification Requirements:
  • Education - Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field.
  • Experience Required - Equivalent technical training.
  • Skills - Eight years in a Programmer Analyst position including two years project management experience with complex projects. Demonstrated proficiency in systems methodology, project management, and programming languages such as VB.NET, ASP.NET, Visual Basic, C# and JAVA as well as common programming utilities used in a Microsoft or J2EE environment. Proficient in the use of databases and report writers. Strong communications and interpersonal skills required. Experience with financial environments desired.
